Who Did Jesus Die For?

Posted on October 29, 2023October 29, 2023 by Jesus is LORD

Jesus Died to make the way to God available for Everyone.

‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’ (John 3:16
NIV)

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for
the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2 NIV)

Sin separates humanity from God.

Jesus – God the Son
For God to be able to have fellowship with those He created He needed to
deal with the problem of sin.
God needed a perfect sacrifice.
God needed a perfect person to be a living sacrifice for the sins of the
whole world.
Enter Jesus.
Jesus bore the sins of the world in His body on the cross for everyone.
There is not sin which Jesus has not paid the price for.

Some people mock Jesus and say if he was God why didn’t he come down
from the cross and save himself. That argument misses the whole point of
the cross. If Jesus had used His power and come down from the cross
then no-one could be saved from the consequences of sin, death.

So Jesus died for everyone, that means you the reader no matter who
you are or what you have done. The atonement for your sin has been paid
for by Jesus
