“There are Too Many Hypocrites”
Jesus spoke harshly at times to the hypocrites of His day.
“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off
the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves,
nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Matthew 23:13 (NASB)
The challenge for each one of us is that we each have to make our own
decision toward God.
So Peter seeing him said to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?”
22Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to
you? You follow Me!” Therefore this saying went out among the brethren
that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he
would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is
that to you?” John 21:21-23 (NASB)
Deciding to follow or not follow Jesus is the most important decision of
our lives and we should not be put off from it because some other people
do not live the way we think they should.
