My Child . . .
Do not think of your confession of sin as being about just the dealing with sin. Ultimately your sin has been dealt with for all time. Otherwise, I could not accept you as my child.
You see, you have been called to walk in the Holy Spirit. Sin hinders your walk in the Holy Spirit. That is why the Spirit grieves. Confession restores your walk with the Spirit.
It also does much more than that. When you confess your sin in heart felt repentance and receive forgiveness your relationship with my Son and with myself is restored too. The Spirit takes from the Father and the Son and gives to you.
When you grieve the Spirit, you also break the communion between my Son and myself. Confession and forgiveness are not about rescuing you from my condemnation. I never condemn you. It’s about your restoration.
You are restored to the proper relationship with Holy Spirit, my Son and Myself. Your fellowship with us is restored.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
2 Corinthians 1 3:14
—-o—-
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard,
so that you also may have fellowship with us.
And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
