We need to realise that when Jesus was born on earth it was not the same scenario as it has been for normal people.
Jesus has always existed. Jesus was not created when He was born on earth. He lived in heaven before he came to earth.
For God to become man you would expect His entry into the world to be different in some way. The idea of the virgin birth was indeed ‘different’.
Jesus was born through Mary in what could be called a type of ‘test tube baby’. Sort of a heavenly, ‘in-vitro fertilisation’.
God needed to communicate with people and the best way for him to do that was to become a person himself.
Speaking of Jesus the bible said;
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”
John 1:14-15 (NIV)
