My Child . . .
You call me God, and so you should because, “I AM”. But the desire of my relationship with you is an intimate one. I am your God but I am also now your Father.
You may never have known an earthly father. You may have had an earthly father who abused you and treated you badly. Maybe a father who did not want to know you. You could have had a very good father who loved you and treated you well. Believe me when I tell you, I am not like earthly fathers.
I know you more intimately than any earthly father could. I have known you since your conception. I know your every thought and the desires of your heart. Each day from the rising of the sun to the going down of the sun I see everything you think, do, and speak. It pleases me when you call me Father.
It delights me. It’s how I want us to share life together. You are my child, and I am your Father. Let’s walk together in that intimacy.
