
God the Father
Jesus took on the shame of the cross to restore our relationship with God the Father. Here are some insights to your heavenly Father.
Important names of God the Father.
YAHWEH or JEHOVAH. These names are written as LORD in English Bibles. It means Self-Existent One or Eternal One.
ELOHIM. Translated as God in English Bibles. It means Strong One/Powerful One.
ADONAI. Translated as Lord in our English Bibles. Means Lord/Master.
The Bible reveals there is a God.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” Psalm 14:1
Creation Reveals God
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:20
God has a mind and can think.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm 139:17

God has Emotions

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; Psalm 103:13

God has a Will

God is LOVE
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. {7} Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. {8} But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:6-8
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1
Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back. Isa 38:17
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:11
